The State Affairs Committee considered SENATE BILL NO. 191                     
An Act relating to election campaigns, election campaign financing,            
the oversight and regulation of election campaigns by the Alaska               
Public Offices Commission, the activities of lobbyists that relate to          
election campaigns, and the definitions of offenses of campaign                
misconduct; and providing for an effective date and recommended                
it be replaced with                                                            
                                                                               
CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 191(STA), entitled:                                    
An Act relating to election campaigns, election                               
campaign financing, the oversight and regulation of                            
election campaigns by the Alaska Public Offices                                
Commission, the activities of lobbyists that relate to                         
election campaigns, the definitions of offenses of                             
campaign misconduct, and to the use of the net                                 
proceeds of charitable gaming activities in election                           
campaigns; and providing for an effective date.
